About the Event
The AVA project is a leading UK charity committed to ending gender-based domestic violence and abuse. They strive to improve services for survivors through learning, resources, consultancy and end violence against women and girls through their policy, research, and prevention work. The AVA project are also market leaders in training on gender-based violence and abuse, with particular expertise in children & young people and multiple disadvantages, they have many ways they deliver this training from online blended training, e-learning, webinars and seminars and classroom-based training.
The Sutton Training Hub have two dates for an upcoming training session about domestic violence, being held by the AVA Project, these will be one hour each from 1 – 2pm on 13th October and the 23rd November and will cover the following:
· have increased knowledge of the indicators of domestic abuse
· have an understanding of how to ask about and respond to disclosures of domestic abuse
· be able to demonstrate and understand the reasons why it is difficult to leave an abusive relationship
· have a better knowledge of relevant support services.
