About the Event
Description
The NHS has committed to getting the number of cancers diagnosed in stages I and II up from 54% to 75% by 2028, but GP referrals tumbled and screening programmes came to a virtual halt as the service was hit by covid-19. This session will explore what happened to cancer detection in this period, how services adapted to cope and what the prospects for recovery are, including the changes the NHS might want to retain.
